This Pool Checker Tournament is dedicated again to two Chicago players who passed away last year and will be very much missed: THERMAN "CHICKEN GEORGE" EARNEST, who was one of our most faithful participants ever since the first tournament here in 1999, playing every year except once or twice when his health condition did not permit; and STONEY BURKE, a tireless organizer, head of the Chicago club, and assistant director at National Tournaments, who still worked for the Postal Service in his 70's with over 50 years of seniority. |
South Bend is
100 miles from Chicago,
140
miles from Indianapolis, 200 miles from Detroit.
